Description:
Jobi has been an EMT since 1989, and before that was a field medic for the US Army. In the 1990’s he worked EMS in Boston, Mt Hood in Oregon, and as a professional ski patrol in Vermont. All of this was to support an outdoor habit which included several years in wilderness education working for Outward Bound and similar organizations, specializing in “at risk” youth populations.
In 1999 Jobi augmented his BA in liberal arts by attending paramedic school. Since then has found himself living and working on the Navajo reservation in Arizona, as a flight medic in Colorado and more recently in Austin Texas. Currently he works as a flight medic for STAR Flight (starflightrescue.com).
On his time off he climbs and scuba dives. When it is too wet to climb he paddles. When it is too windy to scuba dive he sails.
