Description:
John is a former high school teacher and has led service learning programs in the U.S. and abroad. He speaks Swahili, the regional language of East Africa, and has studied, traveled, and worked in East and West Africa. John earned his WFR and EMT-B certifications as a high school senior and in college was a member of his campus rescue squad. He is an avid runner and skier and has led wilderness programming and instructed whitewater kayaking for high school and college age groups.
