Michelle Moore
Location:
Idaho
Certifications:
EMT-B
Description:
In a past life, Michelle was a ski patroller, river guide, and high school art teacher. She has a degree in Wildland Fire Management and Education from B.S.U. and has been involved in Wildland fire for long enough to know better and not long enough to stop. She's been a lookout, engine slug, helitack juice sucker, hot shot (not a very good one), a smokejumper, and a few more things in-between. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in fire has been her passion for a long time. She's been a line EMT, MEDL, and ran the medical program for BOI SMJ. Currently, she works with the DOI-Medical Standards Program and recently developed a new Risk Mitigation/Waiver process that should hit the streets soon. She's become involved in the Incident Emergency Medical Task Group (IEMTG) working on developing minimum standards for Medical Units and other much-needed projects. She has three wonderful children and a great husband.
